DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH:
Picky but On front column is "In Memorium to the Federal Soldiers, 1881-1865"...and on the true base is the "With male toward..." quote. List makes it seem like the two sentences are together, which they are not. Medium: Statue is stone (granite?), column is concrete and base is concrete and red brick. Left and right sides are mixed. Statue is not at parade rest, but "at ease." "Statue resides atop a column resting on a 2 tiered base." would be my description.
