Creation Experience Museum - Walnut Shade, MO - History Museums on Waymarking.com

A few years before this waymark was posted, Dr. Rod Butterworth began a not-for-profit organization in Springfield, Missouri named Creation Museum of the Ozarks, in anticipation of someday making a 6-day Creation-based museum. Eventually the name was changed, but keeping the same initials, to Creation Ministries of the Ozarks.

The original tiny store-front offices and museum in Springfield was renamed the Creation Experience Museum (under the CMOTO organization). But the intention was always to make a larger museum, and nearer Branson.

This poster was glad to be present at the grand opening of this Creation Experience Museum, which is also under CMOTO. There are a lot of small displays set up, and a lot more coming. It is no where near as large as the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY, but it adhers in the same way to the 6-day account of Creation. The museum is supported by donations. (The original, tiny Springfield C. E. M. continues in operations on Friday and Saturdays.)
