The Chief Alvis "Tuffy" Maddox Memorial playground at Fair Park in Childress Texas is full of lions -- but then, it was a project of the local Childress Lions Club.

The Childress Lions Club created this park as a memorial to a beloved police Chief of Childress who died of his injuries sustained in an on-duty traffic accident.

There are lions everywhere here -- lion water fountains, fierce lions prowling the fenceline, and springy lions to ride on.
