The Whitefish Cemetery is one of the first things one encounters upon entering Whitefish from the north on Highway 93.

On the western edge of the city of Whitefish, this is the major cemetery for the city. It is adjacent to the Whitefish Lake Golf Club on the north side of Highway 93.

Community members raised funds to purchase the property and opened the cemetery in 1918. Currently, there are 3,079 lots and 184 crematory sites.

Author Dorothy Marie Johnson is buried in this cemetery.

Find a Grave indicates that there are over 3381 graves in the cemetery. In the cemetery, toward the eastern edge, is a veterans area with a large veterans memorial and at the northeast corner of the cemetery is a large firefighters memorial.
