"Originally established as a contract station of the Sacramento County Library System in the Arden School in 1946, the Arden-Dimick Library moved to its current location at the corner of Watt Avenue and Northrop in 1971. A donation from Dr. and Mrs. Max Dimick allowed us to add 4,000 square feet to the existing building in 1999, including a new meeting room and an attractive children’s area and teen corner." (
