I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1967 in good condition. It is monumented on top of a concrete pad, flush with the surface that makes up the base for a flag pole in front of the Williams US Post Office on the corner of E and Eighth Street. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this mark.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1967 AT WILLIAMS. AT WILLIAMS, AT THE JUNCTION OF E AND EIGHTH STREETS, AT THE POST OFFICE, IN THE TOP OF THE EAST CORNER OF THE CONCRETE BASE OF THE FLAGPOLE, 13.2 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CURB OF E STREET (STATE HIGHWAY 20), 15.4 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CURB OF EIGHT STREET, 1.0 FOOT EAST OF THE FLAGPOLE, 0.9 FOOT NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE POST OFFICE, AND ABOUT FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF THE SIDEWALK.
