Well located and a short walk from the road this trig provides excellent views of the valley below, fascinating cliff faces to the south and across the plains to the west.
Fires had been through the whole area only a couple of months before we visited providing an unusual aspect to the landscape with the trees almost bare except for a shoot of new growth here and there.
And yes we did see several wallabies near the rocks! How they escaped the fire and what they are eating who knows.
The access road Wallaby Rocks Road has several steep erosion control humps along it's route that require reasonable ground clearance, more than a normal 2WD can provide, but otherwise the track is reasonable straight forward except a few short rocky sections on the western side but the eastern side was easy going with the exception of the erosion control humps.
