The main entrance gate begins this walking/cycling tour of Xizhou (she-joe) village in the Dali Prefecture of Yunnan Province, China. Xizhou is an ancient village that is home to the Bai people and much of the architecture is historic, lovely, and unique. To the left as you enter through the gate you can visit the Xiandu Si temple (N 25, 51.305 E 100, 07.579), it is customary to provide a small donation as a token of your respect. The donations are used to maintain the temple and assist the community.
There are no caches hidden throughout this tour; however, please don't let that stop you from enjoying this truly unique place and meeting the wonderful people of Xizhou. Please respect the culture and people of this little village as they are extraordinarily friendly and appreciate tourists visiting their community.
