Built in 1879 as one of 3 factories built by Stephen Salisbury III, on the site of the Court Mills which had been built by his father.

The Court Mills were the first factories in Worcester which leased loft space a provided power to small manufacturers. This freed smaller companies for the expense of property ownership, setting the pattern for Worcester's industrial development. Throughout the 19th century the Salisbury family played an integral part of the city's industrial development. This particular factory was build for the use of the Munroe Organ Reed Company which occupied the building from 1879 to 1899. During the 1980's in was occupied by Porter and Gardner.
