The name
Asteria (of the stars) was given to several individuals in Greek mythology, but is most commonly used for the daughter of the Titans Coeus and Phoebe.
A relief of of the Titaness is part of the Gigantomachy Frieze in Berlin's Pergamon Museum.
The main belt asteroid 658 Asteria was named by its discoverer, German astronomer August Kopff without giving an explanation regarding a certain individual. Thus the asteroid is commonly referred to as being named after all individuals bearing that name.
