The Crawfordsville District Public Library building is located on the west side of South Washington street, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, which is also US 231, and two blocks south of the Montgomery County Courthouse. It opened in September of 2005.

The Carnegie library, opened in 1902, was replaced with the new building, located across the street. Now the former Carnegie Library is used as the Carnegie Museum of Montgomery County, owned and operated by the Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Crawfordsville is a city in Union Township, Montgomery County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 15,915. The city is the county seat of Montgomery County. It is home to Wabash College, which was ranked by Forbes as #12 in the United States for undergraduate studies in 2008.
