This park opened in 1925 as a park and children's playground. On June 28th of 1922 a referendum was held asking the ratepayers of Cranbrook their opinions on the proposed park. The vote was 222 to 88 in favour of the park and playground and a bylaw approving the park was passed forthwith. It was the Rotarians who were instrumental in having the bylaw placed before the people and who did much of the work and the fundraising for the park.
This playground consists of the new equipment, with climbing structures and slides, with two sets of swings nearby. Also nearby is the spray park, completed in 2005, also by the Rotary Club.
