Neo-Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. Wenceslaus (Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie a Sv. Václava), consecrated in October 1895, is the key landmark of a small industrial Central-Bohemian town Kralupy nad Vltavou.
Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. Wenceslaus, the single-nave neo-Gothic brick structure, is unusually oriented by pentagonal presbytery to the North. The church, a key landmark of town Kralupy, was built in 1884-1895 thanks to imposing donation of Prague' provost Dr. Eduard Tersch covering 2/3 of church' construction expenses. The building, especially its interior, was heavily damaged by catastrophic flood in 2002. Fortunatelly, the complete reconstruction in 2003 returned to the church is original beauty.
The Church is parochial church of Kralupy' Roman Catholic parish.
