The Amazons were a nation of all-female warriors in Greek mythology.
This statue of an Amazon on horseback was created in 1895 by Prussian sculptor Louis Tuaillon. It was originally placed in Berlin-Tiergarten, but has now been moved to the Old National Galery in the center of Berlin.
Right next to it is another Equestrian Statue, showing Prussian King Frederick William IV.
