This fire station is dedicated to the memory of Leo David Driscoll (1913 - 2001), Fire Chief of the former City of Nepean from 1952 to 1974,for his invaluable contribution to fire services and the local community.
In 1967, Chief Driscoll was awarded the Government of Canada Centennial Medal for his work with youth programs. In 1975 he received the Nepean Council Award of Merit in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the community, and in 1984 he received the Meritorious Service Medal of the Royal Canadian Legion.
