EN: The canon's house at Domstrasse in Arlesheim is a little off from the dome place, where the other canon's houses are. It was built as a residence for Johann Christoph Haus, who was auxiliary bishop from 1705-25. Then it was taken over by his brother and successor as Bishop Johann Baptist Haus, who was in office 1729-45. After his death the property was sold to the chapter that made it a residence.

The house was in the 19th century raised by one floor.

DE: Das Domherrenhaus an der Domstrasse in Arlesheim steht etwas Abseits vom Domplatz, wo sich die anderen Domherrenhäuser befinden. Es wurde als Wohnhaus für Johann Christoph Haus gebaut, der von 1705-25 Weihbischof war. Danach wurde es von seinem Bruder und Nachfolger als Weihbischof Johann Baptist Haus übernommen, der von 1729-45 im Amt war. Nach seinem Tod wurde die Liegenschaft an das Domkapitel verkauft, die daraus eine Kapitularbehausung machte.

Das Haus wurde im 19. Jahrhundert um ein Stockwerk erhöht.
