Located within the Eisenhower Medical Center complex and north of the Dolores Hope Outpatient Center is Bliss Gardens. There is a plaque monumented on a boulder next to a small palm tree that reads:

From doing a little online research, I determined that C. Hascall Bliss and his wife were ardent supporters of Dwight D. Eisenhower's Republican campaign as well as being major contributors of funds to the Eisenhower Medical Center. These gardens are named after Mr. Bliss as a token of gratitude for the support he bestowed onto the medical center and to the community of Rancho Mirage.
