Located on the College of the Desert campus between the Business Building and the Liberal Arts Building is a garden comprised of four circular plots containing local desert plants and trees. There is a stone plaque in one of the plots that reads:
This garden is dedicated
by Martha Kovitz in memory of
her husband Jack, and her parents
Zaroohy & Marderos Maghakian |
I couldn't locate any information regarding any of these individuals. The garden in this campus quad is a nice mixture of flora and provides some welcoming shade on a hot day.
