Im einstigen „Film-Palast“ neben der Stadtkirche erwartet den Besucher von Malchow das DDR-Museum.Das Gebäude, 1957 als Kino und Veranstaltungsstätte eingeweiht, beherbergt heute das bisher einzige Museum zur DDR-Alltagsgeschichte in Norddeutschland.Seit Oktober 1999 wird die Ausstellung ständig erweitert und inzwischen kann man DDR-Alltag sehr vielfältig erleben.Interessantes findet sich zu den Themen Kino, Hochzeit, Schulanfang und Jugendweihe, Urlaub und Arbeitsleben, aber auch der Technikinteressierte bekommt Einblick in Foto-, Fernseh- und Rundfunktechnik aus 40 Jahren DDR.Der Ausbau des Gebäudes und der große Fundus machen es möglich, die Ausstellung ständig zu erweitern. Der Besucher kann sich ins Kinderland zurückversetzen lassen und neugierige Blicke ins Wohnzimmer der 60er Jahre werfen.Einkaufen kann man in unserem KONSUM nicht mehr, aber doch schmunzelnd vieles wieder entdecken.Zusätzlich machen ständig wechselnde Sonderausstellungen einen Besuch immer wieder lohnenswert.
In the former " movie palace " next to the City Church of Malchow the visitor expects the GDR Museum. The building, opened in 1957 as a movie theater and venue , now houses the only museum to previously GDR life history in North Germany . Since October 1999, the exhibition will be enriched and now you can experience the GDR everyday life very diverse. Information can be found on the subjects cinema, wedding, Back to School and youth initiation , leave and working life, but also the art enthusiasts get insight in photo , television and radio technology from 40 years of the GDR . The expansion of the building and the large fund make it possible for the exhibition to expand constantly . The visitor can travel back to the children's land and throw curious glances into the living room of the 60s. You can not buy in our KONSUM, but you find a lot of things from earlier.In addition, constantly make temporary exhibitions to visit again and again worthwhile.
