[DE] Die Johannes-Kapelle an der Hauptstraße in Ewersbach ist die frühere Kirche von Straßebersbach. Sie wurde im 13. Jahrhundert errichtet und um 1500 massiv umgestaltet. Mit dem Zusammenschluss der beiden Orte Straßebersbach und Bergebersbach zum neuen Dorf Ewersbach 1937 verlor die Johannes-Kapelle ihre Funktion und diente von 1945-50 der katholischen Gemeinde als Domizil.
Seit 2001 ist die Johannes-Kapelle im Besitz der politischen Gemeinde Dietzhölztal. Sie wurde gründlich renoviert, mit einem modernen Funktionstrakt ausgestattet und ist seitdem ein beliebter Ort für Trauungen und festliche Veranstaltungen.

[EN]The Johannes-Kapelle on the main street in Ewersbach is the former church of Straßebersbach. It was erected in the 13th century and remodeled substantially by 1500.
After the merger of the two places Straßebersbach and Bergebersbach into the new village Ewersbach in 1937 the Chapel was used by the Catholic community from 1945-50.
Since 2001 the Chapel is owned by the political community of Dietzhölztal. It was thoroughly renovated, equipped with a modern functional wing and has since become a popular place for wedding ceremonies and festive events.
