One of the large array of farm implements in their collection, this threshing machine is on display in a long equipment shed at the south end of the Creston Museum.

The only thresher on display at the museum, this is a small one, either used on a very small farm or possibly even used by a grain buyer to thresh out samples for the farmer. This is a possibility because firing up the steam tractor and running a small sample to see if the grain was sufficiently dry to thresh was a big deal. The farmer would otherwise have to hand thresh a sample.
This thresher is a bit of an anachronism as it has grease cups (old) and V-belts (newer) and has a relatively modern Briggs & Stratton gasoline mounted atop. This is by no means indicative of its original power source. So... it's pretty difficult to get a handle on its age. As well, no name plates or stampings could be found on the machine, so it will have to go into the books for now as "Unknown Manufacturer".
