The museum has two orchard sprayers on display, this one being the older of the two by 20 or 30 years. It was likely made in the 1910s by an unknown manufacturer, though it could well have been made by the Bean Spray Pump Company. Bean was by far the largest manufacturer of orchard sprayers at that time and remains a major force in the industry today.
Tree Fruit Sprayer This sprayer could have been used as far back as the 1920s and up to the mid 1940s. The machine is horse drawn with a gasoline engine up front to power the pump and agitator. The pump was likely a Bean Triplex which was the most popular for the time period.

The sprayer would have four wheels, originally steel but later converted to rubber for easier movement.
