The Fowler-Center Township Volunteer Fire Department is located at 107 N. Washington Avenue in Fowler. With a roster of 24 firefighters they serve the town of Fowler, Center Township and parts of Pine, Gilboa and Parish Grove Townships. Officers are Chief Bill Burton;assistant chiefs, Dave Eberhardt, Mike Sondgeroth and Matt Rosenbarger; and captains, Keith Burton and Dave Pitstick.

In addition to fighting fires, FFD runs rescue and first responder calls. As volunteers their members have employment throughout the community and surrounding areas. Many are EMTs, full time firefighters and one is a paramedic.
