Mounted in one of the brick signposts for the Creston Baptist Church is a memorial plaque for Otto Tepper.

Creston Baptist is on the southeastern corner of town, at the corner of Ash Street and 25th Avenue South. The church's sign is on the northeast corner of its lot and the Otto Tepper plaque is in the southwest post on the northwest side.
Unmarried, Otto passed away in 1984 and is interred in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Creston.
This is one of two baptist churches in Creston, and is the older of the two. The cornerstone/plaque in the Ash Street wall bears the dates 1968 and 1969, from which we gather that it was completed in 1969.
