The Jannali railway station was built in 1930-31, at the instigation of the Sutherland Council, to service the growing number of residential properties in the area. It was officially opened on 7 February 1931.
The station stills has two platforms (one servicing northbound and the other servicing southbound trains), and an overhead pedestrian bridge.
Both platforms are wheelchair accessible and have OPAL electronic ticketing.
