Home to Masonic Lodge #34, this is also home to Rocky Mountain Chapter #7 of the Royal Arch Masons, Chapter #4 of the Shriners, Selkirk Perceptory #45 and Order of the Eastern Star, Jubillee Chapter #64.

The lodge was organized in 1900 and meetings were held in the home of “Judge” John Leask, a tailor who ultimately became a magistrate. His house stood where the present Overwaitea store is located. There were 16 charter members, and the first Worshipful master was Alexander Moffatt. In 1973 there were 140 members and the Worshipful master was Ben Langton. The first lodge was built in 1910 and fell to the wrecking ball in 1973. The last meeting of the Lodge in the venerable building was held on the third Thursday in June (June 21st), 1973.
