The Rotary Connector is a trail leading from downtown Cranbrook out to the western edge of town, where it connects with the southern trailhead of the North Star Rail Trail, which in turn follows the old CPR railbed 40 km. north to the city of Kimberley. Part of this connector and all of the North Star Rail Trail are stages of the Trans Canada Trail, the world's longest hiking and biking trail.
