This silo stands about 50 metres to the north of two remaining barns which appear to have concrete or concrete block walls. It is also set back about 200 yards from Rutter Parkway. It is our understanding that these barns were either built by and/or housed otherwise unemployed WPA or PWA workers during the dirty thirties. Nothing is known about another barn which may have stood closer to this silo.
The silo, as well, appears to be of concrete, with a quickly deteriorating wood shingled roof. Though it appears to be made of poured concrete, the closer to the top one looks, the more it appears to be of stone, parged with mortar.
Material: Concrete (Poured)
