This is a fairly large cemetery and the grounds are well maintained by the City of Grand Forks. Most of the large headstones are in much need of cleaning as lichen has grown on most of them.
The cemetery's main entrance is graced with a very nice steel and stone archway, the supporting pillars being made of massive stones. They support an all steel arch, consisting of steel posts with finials and a painted or powder coated arched sign with laser cut lettering.
The deer were out in numbers today and frequent the cemetery. The newer grave stones are level to the ground for easier maintenance.
There are many hand made head stones in the older parts of the cemetery.
We found several individuals who had exceeded 100 years old.
I would estimate about 800 gravesites.
