Kostel byl postaven puvodne jako románský, ve 14. století byl goticky prestaven. Roku 1598 byla postavena vež. Roku 1804 byl kostel pri rekonstrukci stavebne upraven. Hrbitov, který se rozkládal kolem kostela, byl zrušen r. 1878.
