This home was altered in 1937 to accommodate the ell, which served as a doctor office. It is the only house in the Common District of this style. The house was built for Royal Baker. He served as the Postmaster from 1916 to 1933. Dr Alvin Moses lived here next, who built the doctor's office. He served as associate medical examiner and school physician.
