The first members of the Charlton Grange Association were the movers and shakers in the community due to the strong agricultural base.

In 1915 the Charlton Bowling Assoc. was formed and 2 bowling alleys were installed in the lower level of the building. They were removed in 1930.

The Grange was dedicated Aug 19, 1891.
