"Hermandad by Sergio Castillo Mandiola. A gift in friendship from a native of Vina del Mar, Chile. Sister City of Sausalito in 1969. In recognition of years of effort by the Sausalito Arts Commision and generous contribution from the city of Sausalito, Sausalito Arts Festival, Sausalito Foundation and many local artists, merchants and residents of our fine community. Created in situ by Sergio Castillo Mandiola in 1968-69, this sculpture was sadly damaged in th 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Formal restoration and relocation to a new site within Gabrielson Park was accomplished in 2008, with special thanks to Barry Peterson, Leslie ..., Joshua Goldstein, Archie Held and David Kallmeyter for the awareness to the spirit of Hermandad."
