The sign, hung from the pub's wall, shows the inside of a tea warehouse with some happy looking prople picking tea whilst the overseers look on.

The Capital Pub Company website tells us:

The site of the Old Tea Warehouse is surrounded by religious history and can be traced back as far as 1592, where the Creechurch Monastery once stood. Indeed it is said that upon renovation of the site, old bones were found (where the staff loos are now!) and the original East India Co Tea Warehouse was believed to be built on a graveyard so you never know who you may bump into in our basement lounge...

Unique for a City pub we have a private patio tucked away for time out of the office and a cool basement  complete with two pool tables, Ipod docking and serving up our must try house cocktail, Gunpowder and Treason – Boom!
