The Goat River splits into two separate channels in this area, necessitating two bridges. Both concrete girder bridges, built in 1962, were made necessary by the addition to the Crowsnest Highway west from Creston. This addition meant realigning Highway 21, and along with it, the construction of these bridges.

This bridge, the shorter of the two, is about 60 to 65 metres in length.
