A simple combined war memorial on the north wall of the north aisle of the early C16th estate church.

This started as a simple but elegant memorial to the men of Layer Marney Parish who died in the Great War. There was sufficient room at the lower part of the name tablet to add the name of the one parishioner who died in World War Two.
The name tablet is of grey marble with the names incised and filled with a black pigment, it is set into a cream marble frame of classical design with a coved pediment and a carved angel at the base and placed on the north wall of the the north aisle of this country estate church.
The dedication reads:
TO THE MEMORY OF
THE MEN FROM THIS PARISH
WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES
IN THE GREAT WAR
1914 - 1919.
