Commemorative plaque reminds us neo-gothic Church of Jan Amos Komensky on Komenský square in Brno. It is rectangular plaque, made of white stone (marble) placed here by City of Brno. It is located at building wall right from the entrance to the building.

Postaven brnenským nemeckým luterským sborem v letech 1863 - 1867 podle projektu vídenského architekta heinricha von Ferstela v severonemeckém gotickém slogu. Stavbu provedl Moric Kellner.

Základní Kámen položen 7. zárí 1863. Slavnostne otevren a vysvecen 25. srpna 1867, do roku nesl název Christuskirche.

Od roku 1945 patrí Ceskobratrské církvi evangelické.

The church is known rather under the name the Red Church based on its red walls. It was built according to the project of Heinrich Ferstel. It is the first large and demanding building of a non-catholic cathedral in this part of Europe.
