This fodder cutter works on the same principle as the feed cutter adjacent, but is a slightly newer design, an improvement on the older design. The major improvement is its motive power source, which is non human. Belt driven by a small stationary gasoline or electric motor, this machine was capable of cutting several times as much feed in a given time as was the manually operated machine.
This is one of the many outdoor displays at the museum, for which there is no admission fee required.
