This is one of two feed/fodder cutters in the very complete collection of farm implements at the Creston Museum.

This little machine was used to turn large pieces or lengths of animal feed into small or short pieces of feed. It was totally manually operated, usually by a single operator. The operator would place feed in the tray and crank the handle which turned a rotating knife cutter. A worm drive simultaneously drove a feed mechanism which evenly fed the feed into the knife.

This is one of the many outdoor displays at the museum, for which there is no admission fee required.
