Near the entrance to the post is this 1917 Howitzer. The breech is stamped 1917 and it is on wooden wheels, indicating that it is, indeed of World War I vintage. All the workings are in beautiful shape as yet, suggesting that it may never have seen service. The post has no information posted as to its history or how they came to own it.
