This bronze bust of Alexander depicts him as a young man with long wavy hair. A placard indicates that it is either Greek or Roman and dates it to 150 BC to 138 AD. The placard also indicates that Alexander was considered divine and his image became the most famous. He was worshipped in Greek cities and his cult continued even into Roman times. This bust, the placard continues, depicts Alexander with the long "leonine" hair to divinely associate him with Herakles (Hercules).
Wikipedia's list of deities (visit link) adds for Alexander:

"Some believe he implied he was a demigod by actively using the title "Son of Ammon–Zeus". The title was bestowed upon him by Egyptian priests of the god Ammon at the Oracle of the god at the Siwah oasis in the Libyan Desert."
