Znak mestské cásti Brno-Kohoutovice na budove úradu mestské cásti.
V roce 1996 byl schválen historicky první znak mestské cásti Brno-Kohoutovice. Výberová komise zvolila ze 167 anonymních návrhu od 40 autoru 10 návrhu a zastupitelstvo potom rozhodlo o vítezném návrhu, který je dílem Ateliéru S z Brna. Znak má podobu zeleného gotického štítu, v nemž je stríbrný krácející kohout ve zlaté zbroji. V horní cásti je modrá plocha se tremi zlatými šestihrotými hvezdami oddelená stríbrnou linkou. Zelená barva znaku symbolizuje lesy pokrývající velkou cást území Kohoutovic. Modrá plocha predstavuje západní oblohu s hvezdami, ty jsou sem preneseny ze staré pecete. Heraldická figura kohouta hovorí o názvu sídla a symbolizuje v jeho nakrocení dynamiku jeho rozvoje.

In 1996 it was approved the very first CoA of the Brno-Kohoutovice. The selection committee has chosen out of 167 proposals from 40 anonymous author of 10 proposals and the council then decided on the winning design (created by Studio S from Brno). The emblem has the form of a green gothic shield, which is a silver rooster striding in golden armor. At the top is a blue area with three gold stars (six spikes) separated silver line. The green color symbolizes the forests covering a much of the Brno-Kohoutovice. The blue area represents the west sky with the stars, they are brought here from the old signet. Heraldic figure rooster speaks the name and registered office symbolizes his leap dynamics of its development.
