This building, according to the tourist sign at the main entrance, is an ancestral clan association building, dating back to the time when Chinese immigrants lived and worked in Georgetown. At roadside entrance, there are two fence columns, flanking the gate, and sitting on top of each of these columns is a lion. These are rather small and stylised Chinese themed lions, but lions of any size, are still lions.
