"The Coddenham War memorial is to be found within the grounds of St Mary's parish church, Coddenham, and is in the form a Celtic cross on a square, stepped column, the whole made from granite. There are 22 names listed for World War 1 and 6 for World War 2. The memorial cost £137 19s 6d and was created by Army & Navy Auxiliary Cooperative Society Ltd. It was unveiled on 4 April 1920 by Captain The Hon. J St. V Saumarez. Details appear in the East Anglian Daily Times 5 April 1920."
