Built in 1995, the funeral home is owned and operated by Fairmount Memorial Association, which also operates Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery and six other cemeteries in the Spokane area. The association is an independent and community owned entity.
The funeral home has become an integral part of the 107 year old Riverside Memorial Park, which contains numerous memorials, statuary and art works.
For nine consecutive years Heritage Funeral Home has received the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Pursuit of Excellence Eagle award. This mark of excellence honours funeral homes for their outstanding community service, technical ability, and professional integrity. Heritage is the only funeral home in Washington State to receive this award nine years in a row.
