Luke's is nothing if not friendly. And their ribs ARE pretty darned good.

Luke's Place BBQ is now closed.
On the northwest corner of Highway 292 and Cedar Street, they're in the old section of Loon Lake, which is separated by Highway 292 from the somewhat newer, residential section. Loon Lake is a pretty small town, with few eateries, so this one is definitely recommended.

They have a small diner upstairs and a bar downstairs, but watch out for the help. They'll talk your ear off, if they can. It's actually quite an enjoyable place to get oneself covered in BBQ sauce. One may eat in the diner upstairs or the bar downstairs. Have a beer and shoot a game of pool while enjoying the ribs
