Located in Maryville, Tennessee the Parkway Drive-In (probably named for the nearby Foothills Parkway or maybe the Lamar Alexander Parkway although I don't think the road had this name when the theater was built) was slowly wasting away until someone purchased it in recent years and reopened it. The new theater uses a radio broadcast system to broadcast movie sound to viewers car stereos. Old-style sound boxes are said to be available for the nostalgic or radio-less folks. Most shows are two-feature matinees starting around midnight on weekends.
