Günter Grass is known as Germany’s most famous living writer and also a sculptor. His widely known novel "The Flounder" ("Der Butt") is visualized in this sculpture. In July 2004 the sculpture with 2,30 metres height and a weight of 450 kilo was moved to its current place in the harbour of Sønderborg.
