East Forecourt Fountain - Vienna, Austria - Fountains on Waymarking.com

Although this work is probably allegoric...and perhaps the figures represent characters from myth, no information could be found online to verify this suspicion. Wikipedia's article on art at the Palace (visit link) simply informs us that the artists are Franz Zauner and Joseph Baptist Hagenauer and simply entitles them as #52 & #53 "Fountains in the Forecourt".
The piece depicts three central figures...a bearded man sitting and holding a staff with his head turned to the water spouting from the center. A second bearder man reclines on his side looking at the spouting water. Below, a young woman reclines and looks in the distance. Two odd figures are almost hidden...children who seem to be half fish.

The Wikipedia article doesn't address these fountain directly as to the date but indicates that the Palace was created between 1773 and 1780.
