Near the castle there are hornbeams from the 17th century and lime trees dated back to 1734 as well as the apple tree. There is an info board with texts in english, german and danish (see photo). The castle building is used as a school today and the parc surrounding the castle is open to the public without any fee. Once a year there is also a famous open air music festival in Nordborg.
